As you can see, this is based on a large sculpture that my friend at college made from bark and a skull and stuff (its about the size od a great dane) which has many interpretaions including the christian invasion on australia. My image of the sculpture is very mix media, as is the sculpture, half of him is still raw charcoal sketch, its face is acrylic paint with some smudges of a clump of LGH clay which has effectivly cracked, and the other half of him is a mixture of acrylic paints with PVA glue and tissue paper, as is the ground and the background is acrylic black paint. The title came to me as I was cropping the image, Yngwe Malmsteen just popped up in my winamp player and stated singing 'Demon Dance' "Holding a crucifix!! " it was like devine intervention, it was meant to be.
