Freshly scanned. The advantage on small paintings :D a few things changed when transformed from digital manipulation to oil painting but hopefully for the better. you can kinda tell the canvas has a bit of texture too.

I definitely love the background much more and the hair is super cute!

No, they are not in my opinion, and if you really think so, then there is no way I can convince you from the opposite, make a work of art where the main object is the hair and work on it, all I can say! :D

I can't figure out what part blows me away the most.. the texture of the background, the cracks on the skin, the colors in the hair or the expression you've captured on the face.
